MSN, APRN, FNP-C - Nurse Practitioner
Katrina Villa is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in Port Lavaca, Tx. She became a licensed vocational nurse in 2010 and continued her education, earning her Master’s in Nursing and beginning practice as a NP in adult primary care. She rounded in multiple settings and found that many patients had wounds that stemmed from diabetes, poor circulation, or a combination of co-morbidities. This led her to the next endeavor, which was getting the opportunity to care for patients in vascular medicine. She is passionate about preventing the types of wounds she saw in the beginning of her career. She enjoys educating patients about their modifiable lifestyle choices, which she believes is the root cause of many chronic diseases. On a personal note, she is married with two young boys, making her a full- time soccer mom when she is not in clinic. She is also a dog and plant Mom and likes to cycle and cook in her free time. She enjoys a challenge and works closely with Dr Long to provide the best possible care and would love to chat with you in clinic!
